During temporary vows, a sister lives her vows in the FSPA community and grows in a Franciscan way of life. Careful attention is given to balancing ministry, prayer, community life, and personal enrichment and preparing for permanent commitment. As women religious, we seek to follow the universal call to holiness by our public profession of vows. As women in a Vatican II church, we wear contemporary clothes and live in small groups or individually, usually near our ministry sites. A community medal and ring are signs of our FSPA commitment.
National Donut Day officially began during the Great Depression as a means to raise funds and build awareness for The Salvation Army’s social services. Today, The Salvation Army Delaware celebrates this day by distributing free donuts, coffee and water throughout the state on the first Friday in June. Last year, in cooperation with Bimbo Bakeries, volunteers and staff handed out more than 1,000 donuts.

Start the season off with JAMLAC’s 13th annual Joy of Giving event. The Chicana/o/x Studies Endowment was established with generous gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and community members to honor the community created in the Chicana/o/x Studies Program. In the stories shared by various alumni, it was the social activities and strong relationships that developed between faculty, staff and students that made the undergraduate experience such an unforgettable time at EWU.
The injections of modern technology, more humor, and embracing the storyline for the wild ride it is work perfectly. Those who try to deeply dissect it are missing the entire point. From the depths of Marlena’s despair to the snarky and sarcastic zingers Satan slayed with, Deidre Hall was a force of everything amazing this year. Her timeless talents have entertained us for decades, but her performances were sheer joy throughout 2021. We’ll get to my complete disdain with Gwen in the next column.
“Repossessed” is very much its own storyline while paying homage to the original. Almost anyone who has had experience with addicts knew exactly what Chloe was talking about as she shared her account. All like feeling every excruciating second of a slow-motion train wreck one can’t stop. Atop her husband’s addiction, Chloe — a young woman in a foreign country back then — was traumatized by people breaking into her home and snatching Brady in the middle of the night. That was followed up by being unfairly blamed and branded every name in the book by his grandfather and others.

These are your true friends and these are the relationships that will last longer overtime. These questions and more have been building slowly over the past twenty or so years since social media was created and we’ve been collecting friends online as if they were the latest trend in fashion.

I’m sure the wardrobe, hair, and makeup teams are enjoying their tasks to create zombies and Satan itself. The spooky sets and special effects have been on-point.

Well on our way, our multi-year strategy was interrupted by the uncertainty that came with a global pandemic and a struggling economy. As it was for many companies, 2020 proved to be a challenging year. Simply saying goodbye to your best friend and lover whom you’ve hurt deeper than anyone could. Those types of feelings that were all conveyed in top-ten career-worthy showings by Greg and Ari, who really deserve yet another cyber standing ovation.

Rainbow Days Training Summer Symposium
Walking into the old Tiger Gym or sitting in the Church pews today brings back amazing memories of PE and all school mass. The school building, parking lot, playgrounds and field are all new but the sense of community is the same as it has always been. A new app allows teams to try to outdo each other in acts of kindness. New augmented reality functions add some extra fun, and each Chapel Hill Tire shop has made itself available as a drop-off location, to make it even easier to participate.
As schools reopen, we are committed to bringing our children back into the safe havens of their classrooms – where they can experience the joy of learning once again. People of all backgrounds, education and income levels rely on a variety of planned giving methods to provide for their loved ones as well as support beloved charities, such as the American Legion Auxiliary. In fact, many methods of planned giving ensure that assets that would otherwise be subject to heavy taxation are instead given to dear causes; this means the assets left to loved ones are taxed less. Through planned giving, donors are able to meet their current and future financial needs while providing the Auxiliary with financial support later.
At the end of the story he is relieved to discover that there is still time for him to change and we see him transform into a kinder man who discovers the joy of giving, loving and caring for others. Let me say that we enjoy bringing smiles to people’s faces, yet it brings us even more joy when those people truly appreciate it. These two ladies and a little boy definitely appreciated this gesture. The one gal said that they often do acts of kindness for people at Disney World but the no one has ever done one for them. Boy and I took that Fast Pass for Avatar Flight of Passage and walked to the end of the line. Starting at the end of the line, we walked toward the front asking if anybody was a party of three. There seemed to be a lot of parties of five that day.

Tamara Braun is a beast, and I’d love to think of her as our beast.
Students can volunteer for Afternoon Programs in the Fall and Spring, Weekend Club Events, or Summer Camp. Afternoon programs require a 12-week commitment for the entire semester and training. Weekend club events are one-time commitments where you can sign up for as many or as few events as you would like. Summer Camp involves being a buddy all week long and also requires training.

Still, I remain firm on my original stance that this storyline is like pineapple on pizza. I, for one, find pineapple on pizza and possession storylines delicious, so bear with me while I rave… Auntie P might not be atop her loved ones’ Christmas card list this year, but Jackée Harry was gift-wrapped gold for DAYS! While nostalgia might have made me excited upon hearing the casting news, Jackée’s timeless talents kept me glued to my screen all over again. She was superb at showcasing Paulina’s chutzpah but also great at giving us those glimpses of the vulnerable young woman she once was and vowed to never be again. The kid sister who visited “Tammy” at university and was in awe of a collage-aged Marlena Evans.
We collaborate choosing a variety of herbs and Flowers of medicinal value arranged to support this space of healing and restoration. The center of this circle features a paved patio area for community activities that invite nature into healing practices that restore the balance of the mind, body and spirit. A day of tribute, Donut Day allows The Salvation Army to celebrate the contributions made by “Donut Lassies” during war time. Donut lassies were female Salvation Army volunteers that provided writing supplies, stamps, clothes mending, home cooked meals, and of course donuts, to soldiers on the front lines. Day 11 is all about homemade NEPA wine and spirits .
